Studio Spear

Jeff Spear

Jeff is the heart of Studio Spear. His creative and strategic leadership, coupled with an obvious passion for consumer "lifestyle" products, accounts for Studio Spear's success and reputation.

As a child, Spear learned a wide range of creative disciplines. This experience, coupled with the training he received from the University of Arizona in graphic design, earned him a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1977.

Upon graduation, Spear moved to Santa Monica, California. As a result of his exceptional talents in typography, logo and trademark design, Spear developed art titles for feature films and record covers including "Flashdance," "Good Morning Vietnam" and Michael Jackson's "Bad."

His reputation spread nationally and attracted assignments from leading organizations including Anheuser Busch, BaskinRobbins, Disney and Mattel. Along the way, Spear was asked to contribute strategically, as well as creatively, to the direction some of these brands would pursue. This allowed Spear to expand from a one-man freelance operation to Studio Spear, a leading strategic marketing and creative services consultancy. Spear now works from his office in Baltimore Maryland (his childhood home) and enjoys ongoing relationships with a broad range of domestic and international brands.
